Suddenly I got it, I understood how to drive the cars better (Im not great by any means and I recommend trying the mini first for a Noob) and the sense of competition was real, we all had a blast and seeing each person remove the headset with a big smile on their face, and then going back in for another few laps. What completely changed my mind was, I invited some family and friends around for a VR gaming night and My Bro and Dad were like do you have any Car games, So I was like Yeh i've got Dirt Rally, but it's quite hard.Īnyways, to cut a long story short, We turned on the Assists, Actually figured out there were more modes than just rallying (rally cross) and we set up a 4 lap, Mini cooper race on one of the shorter England circuits so that it would only take about 3-5 mins to complete, and we played a Pass the headset style competition for the fastest time. I bought Dirt Rally because it was on Sale and everyone on this Reddit saying how amazing it was.Īfter My said, Spinning around like an idiot fighting the controls and figuring I just sucked at realistic Driving games, I was almost ready to admit whilst technically Good, I'm never going to play this game. I Haven't played a Racing game (flat or otherwise) in years, I used to play like V-Rally, and Colin Mcrae, but I stopped a long time ago.
